MobileFuse is looking to expand its MFX (MobileFuse Exchange) engineering team. MFX is a high-scale ad exchange that fields over a billion ad impression opportunities per hour for our integrated app publishers. We are looking for a senior level engineer who is interested in writing code that can stand the rigors of a high scale environment, as well as building tools to work with the enormous amount of generated data.
While this is a heavily back-end role, there are opportunities to work on front end features through our publisher operation team's management platform. While this is position is a fully remote position, we are looking for US based candidates and have a slight preference for candidates in the Boston and NYC areas for team and company gatherings.
Requirements
- PHP & MySQL (we use PHP 8.x)
- Linux (you should know your way around a terminal)
- Experience with APIs (authentication, rate limits, etc.)
Responsibilities
- Building new features and enhancements using clear, concise, and efficient code
- Communicating with the publisher operations team, including guiding business requirements into feature requests
- Gaining familiarity with the release and deployment process
- Establishing new bidding integrations using external documentation
- Troubleshooting and fixing bugs
Relevant Skills (helpful but not required)
- Amazon Web Services (Athena, EC2, ALB, AS, RDS, S3, CloudFront, CloudWatch to name a few)
- Ad tech (it helps to know your impressions from your CTRs, but we can teach you too!)
- Systems engineering (if you like monitoring for anomalies or tuning every last bit of resources out of a server, we've got the project for you)
- HTML/JS/CSS
- Laravel 9.x
- Docker
- Knowledge of microservices
