We are looking for an experienced VP of Engineering to lead SalesRabbit's technology team through this next phase of growth.

Our engineering team is growing fast, and several organizational initiatives are in flight. We are a fully remote workforce in engineering. The perfect hire for this role is a great people leader (attracting, hiring & retaining top people) with a maniacal focus on customers and outcomes. We expect you to manage and grow our team while collaborating with the product management org and SalesRabbit's leadership team.

We're looking for a VP of Engineering who has led an engineering organization through growth and technical challenges. The right candidate will have strong technical chops and deep experience leading, managing, and developing their people. You have collaborated with product teams to maximize output and the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the Engineering organization. At SalesRabbit, you'll utilize this experience to be a valuable partner to the CTO in terms of creating a world-class Engineering organization where we have an impact daily.

To be a good fit for this particular role, you should be/have:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in the software engineering field
  • Minimum 5 years of management experience. Ideally, with experience managing remote-first and/or distributed engineering teams
  • Experience managing managers/directors
  • Demonstrated expertise in optimizing engineering processes and collaborating with adjacent organizations to deliver customer value
  • Demonstrable expertise in sourcing and hiring engineers
  • A clear vision of what good engineering performance is and how to measure it
  • Ability to navigate complex interpersonal relationships and problems

Here's how you'll make an impact:

  • Direct leadership & supervision of the Engineering team
  • Co-developing the technical vision & strategy with the CTO
  • Consistently increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of our technical teams
  • Building a hiring funnel to expand the engineering team
  • Building a scalable structure for engineering teams to take us into the future
  • Diving deep into conversations with all engineers in the organization to uncover areas of improvement and other ideas to elevate the team
  • Training our current and future engineering managers in effective people management
  • Conduct 1:1s and skip level 1:1s
  • You agree that concise and effective written and verbal communication is a must for a successful agile team
  • You are able to work within our core business hours of 9 AM to 2 PM MST
