VetsEZ is seeking a Program Director for a government level project. This candidate will be responsible for delivering critical cross-functional and organization initiatives to drive and coordinate requirements from the VA stakeholders. You will work with senior leaders in engineering, product management, user experience, operations, and professional services to consolidate, integrate, and streamline the delivery of its products to improve Veterans' access to care by reducing redundancies and increasing efficiencies. The ideal candidate thrives in a sophisticated environment and enjoys connecting strategy to execution.

The candidate must reside in the continental US. 

Responsibilities:

  • As a primary customer contact for program activities, lead the program review sessions with the customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance
  • Manage cost, schedule, and technical performance of work scope for multiple projects
  • Drive delivery of key (functional and technical) teams, organizational and cross-functional initiatives. Collaborate with development, product management, other engineering teams, and Ops to design, scope, and deliver features
  • Participate in the negotiation of contracts, contract changes, sub-contracts, and subcontracts changes
  • Establish milestones, monitor adherence to master plans and schedules, find program problems, and obtain solutions, such as allocating resources or changing contractual specifications
  • Monitor contract, subcontract, and funding; prepare forecasts of program financial performance
  • Identify dependencies, gaps, risks, and mismatches in expectations as early as possible alignment across departments, ensuring that the entire value chain is connected and delivered by emphasizing quality as a critical aspect of all deliverables

Requirements:

  • BS degree in Information Technology or a related discipline
  • 12 to15 years, with at least two-plus years of experience managing large programs of $10M or more
  • Experienced managing and developing staffing plans and working with subcontractors
  • Experienced with agile software development methodologies and productivity tools
  • Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to lead through influence and connecting the dots between strategy, organization, program, and project
  • Ability to coordinate multiple projects across multiple locations with minimal supervision
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • PMP certification

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with the Department of Veteran Affairs, tools, processes, and frameworks
  • SAFe certification
  • Ability to obtain a government clearance
