We have a very stable, reliable business based on referrals or online inquiries from mid-market ($50M-$150M) companies. This works very well as we continue to grow at 30-35% YoY just off these organic leads, as well as continued relationships with existing clients. We want you to help develop an approach for going after key targets. We want your mind to look at our business and find sectors to go deep in. 


YOUR MISSION

We are seeking an individual who is able to build long-lasting executive level business relationships founded on trust and the quality of counsel. To that end, you must have a deep (hopefully somewhat diverse) background in marketing and brand strategy. We are looking for someone with deep client side experience – specifically those with product experience – like Nike or Intel. From an agency perspective, Account Managers, Account Directors, Strategists or Marketing Directors are welcome to apply.

Research. Ideate. Concept. Collaborate with creatives, marketers, designers, developers, and senior leadership. You will be reporting to our EVP and collaboratively working with the CEO on pitches. 

The ideal candidate should have agency experience. You will be working on accounts, proposals, pitches and collaborating with our executive team to further build out our services, tools, techniques, methodology and strategy.  In particular, within Watson Creative, your role is to:

  • Reports to our CEO & Exec Team.
  • Identify and propose strategies for strategic sales opportunities that leverage our core strengths;
  • Network. Develop relationships. Open Doors. Drive demand. 
  • Provide input and content as needed to the creative director regarding marketing materials required to meet targets;
  • Identify and implement strategies to nurture sales opportunities;
  • Create pitch content and presentations for qualified/targeted sales leads;
  • Coordinate and present pitches;
  • Collaborate on estimate process and contract creation;
  • Secure deposits and signed contracts for projects;
  • Attend all critical client meetings;
  • Track all engagements and KPI's
  • and economic influences, for the purpose of potential client identification;
  • Perform strategic planning with the management team;
  • Participate in ideation;
  • Other duties as determined by management
YOUR ROLE
  • Work with the CEO and Creative Directors to bring in new business
  • Build and foster productive, efficient and positive client relationships
  • Scope and estimate programs effectively ensuring on time and on budget delivery
  • Work closely with creative leads to identify opportunities, and roadblocks
  • Champion account management best practices across the studio
  • Nurture a positive and result-oriented work environment
  • Maintain a deep understanding of your key clients' business to further WATSON lead in the marketplace
  • Lead with integrity and empathy
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
  • BS, BA or BFA in business, marketing, communications or journalism preferred;
  • At least 15 years of overall business experience required;
  • Proficiency with google docs, drive and keynote
  • Adobe CS Creative Suite proficiency a plus;
  • Entrepreneurial drive and ability to network to achieve sales goals;
  • Strong background in sales practices related to the RFP process, goal setting, and project management;
  • Must be able to develop strategic selling strategies to key industries;
  • When needed, must be able to travel to assigned accounts/meetings and trade shows
  • Able to operate and conduct business at the highest executive and decision-maker levels, and able to maintain those client relationships;
  • Creative problem-solver able to handle complex challenges;
  • Know when to champion your case and when to compromise;
  • Able to think and act both strategically and tactically (see big picture whilst understanding the details);
