The role
As a Senior Engineer, you will help build exciting products from the ground up, as well as being a key contributor on existing projects. You will contribute technical know-how, ideas and ultimately be a huge part of development at Splyt.
We are looking for a frontend-focused developer to join a talented group of individuals and play a leading role in iterating and expanding one of our flagship products, in line with our ambitious growth plans.
What you’ll be doing:
- Build and maintain React/Redux frontend applications and contribute to our Node.js APIs and microservices
- Play a leading role in the squad, becoming a key contributor on projects and deliverables, guided by our product and business development teams
- Become an integral part of our growing startup by contributing on a technical and personal level
- Keep up to date with the latest technologies through training and professional development
Requirements
Who we are looking for:
- Demonstrable experience as a Software Engineer working in Agile teams
- Excellent knowledge of using React for front end development
- Working knowledge of Node.js for back end development
- Very strong understanding of various state management frameworks
- Working knowledge of TypeScript
- Experience working with and integrating REST APIs
- Firm understanding of object oriented programming as well as functional programming
- Good knowledge of modern software design patterns/anti-patterns
- Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively
- Current and continuous interest in new tools, technologies and methodologies
- Experience in building scalable cloud based solutions desirable
- Knowledge of Docker/Kubernetes considered a plus
- Background in mobile development beneficial
- Someone based in Asia (for timezone purposes)
