Senior Infrastructure Analyst

Job Description

At Daisy our Infrastructure Analysts are responsible for providing a certain level of team leadership working across multiple colleagues, product lines or technologies and platforms. The Senior Engineer will help support the Availability Services Team Leader with strategic planning, resourcing, data gathering and execution.

In this role you will be doing:

·       Support the Availability Services Team Leader with resourcing and planning

·       Dedicated full life-cycle contribution and support of the service portfolio to end users, and customers with strict adherence to standard processes and procedures.

·       Implementation of technical solutions including networks and/or backup, host, and storage-based replication at customer sites.

·       Inclusion and involvement in the out-of-hours 24 x 7 call-out rota on a defined frequency over a 365 period

·       Facilitating seamless integration and transition of services into customer environments

·       Ensuring that the services within the portfolio operate within SLA limits and within any service delivery elements of commercial contracts.

·       Work across operations boundaries and recovering Availability Services based solutions providing operational playbooks and documentation.

·       Deliver specialist skills and be a trusted advisor and problem owner.

Qualifications

·       Experience with various HyperVisors including HyperV and VMWare

·       Experience of various Linux distributions

·       Knowledge of Microsoft Server Operating Systems

·       Knowledge of scripting languages including Python and Powershell

·       Knowledge of SANs and their associated protocols

·       Knowledge of networking within HyperV and VMWare

·       Familiar with network protocols and services WINS/DNS/DHCP/VTP/trunking
