Your Role
As a member of a startup engineering team, you will have a large impact on the entire PicassoMD technical ecosystem including system design, back-end architecture, mobile app development, and PicassoMD’s software lifecycle processes. You’ll have the opportunity to work with tools and libraries like React Native, esbuild, styled-components, web push, and a plethora of AWS services. Our engineers also support our systems in production so you’ll be exposed to Dev Ops practices and our AWS-based infrastructure.
Specifically, you’ll be:
- Translating specs and designs into user-facing features in our React Native mobile app and Ruby on Rails web application
- Adding back-end APIs to support the mobile app
- Choosing technologies and strategies to support our APIs and app
- Working with the design and product teams to refine specifications and assess the technical feasibility of new features
- Contributing ideas for new features and enhancements to all of PicassoMD’s products and systems
Requirements
We are looking for the perfect combination of talent, experience, and cultural fit. Proven experience delivering solutions is more important than experience with any specific technology. Our ideal candidate will have:
- 5+ years of professional development experience
- At least one year of React experience
- Mobile app development experience (ideally cross-platform)
- 2+ years experience with Ruby on Rails
- Experience engineering for a cloud-based architecture
- Great communication skills (oral and written) for both technical and non-technical audiences
- An affinity for our company values and eagerness to be part of a team that embraces them

- You must be authorized to work in the United States
