About The Opportunity
Settle is growing quickly, and we’re building out our Accounting team. We're looking for a Senior Accountant with a balance of technical and operational accounting expertise. There’s tons of room for growth and development and a direct path for promotion to Accounting Manager. We’re looking for someone eager to make an immediate impact. We’re a small but mighty team and you’ll report directly to our Head of Accounting. How You'll Make An Impact
* Assist with the preparation of GAAP financial statements
* Perform monthly close processes around assets, liabilities and the P&L
* Assist with the buildout of our automated ledger project, which revolves around revenue recognition and loan accounting
* Develop, implement and execute on scalable processes to facilitate timely reporting
* Develop, implement and execute on internal controls and maintaining strong documentation
* Establish relationships with our Head of Finance, Eng-Accounting team, Data team, and outsourced accounting firm
Who You Are
* You have a 4-year degree in Accounting/Finance
* You have 3-4 years of experience comprised of Big 4 accounting and/or at a start-up
* You have Experience with loan accounting, payments, fintech or financial services
* You're comfortable working with large amounts of data and have Excel, Quickbooks and Netsuite experience
* CPA Preferred
