Our Team & Your Role
The team at TeachFX
We’re a team of educators, engineers, and purpose-driven professionals committed to our mission and guided by these core values:
Service: In a spirit of generosity, we work in service of our mission, of each other and of the educators and students among our partners.
Understanding: We are intellectually curious, and seek to understand where our colleagues and customers are coming from, how the world works, and why it is the way it is.
Creation: In order to create the world we want to live in, we have a bias toward action.
Dialogue: We learn through dialogue and through giving and receiving feedback. We listen openly.
Excellence: Continuously seeking to improve, we bring to our work insight, vision, purpose, creativity, nuance, beauty.
We’re fully remote and have built our team and our culture with intention. We believe in the power of creating an amazing place to work.
We hired our first Head of Marketing in 2021. And now we’re ready to keep scaling the marketing practice. As our marketing Swiss Army Knife, you’ll get to have your hands in everything from the tactical to big-picture strategic thinking.
What you’ll do on the marketing team at TeachFX:
Manage our social media accounts, helping us build community among educators
Be – or be ready to become – a HubSpot superuser, helping make our marketing happen and make the most of our marketing with smart automation and stellar reporting
Implement and optimize our email marketing, including lead nurturing
Help constantly improve and optimize our website to help educators find us, learn about us, and connect with us
Produce creative assets (big plus if you already love Canva!) – including sales enablement tools, long- and short-form content, and ads
Plan and produce our virtual and in-person events – webinars, conferences, VIP events, and more
Continuously improve our capabilities to gather, interpret, and act on data about marketing activities and what’s helping us grow
Make some amazing branded collateral that our team and partners love to share or wear everywhere
Marketing is always changing. What else can you imagine for us? We can’t wait to hear your ideas.
In your first 3 months, you will:
Understand our mission and growing ecosystem of education partners
Build relationships with key members of the TeachFX team, get acquainted with what they’re working on, and how you can help
Have learned our brand strategy, marketing and sales practices, and tech stack
Run your first webinar, in collaboration with our team and featured speaker(s)
Be able to write creative, effective copy that engages educators in what we’re doing through social media, email, and landing pages
Have identified a few ideas for us to do marketing in new, better, or different ways
Launch your first email campaign (in close collaboration with our Head of Marketing)
By the end of 6 months, you will:
Own our social media presence and help guide people on our team in building their own online presence
Manage the planning and logistics for our conferences and other live events
Begin to manage our multi-channel content syndication practices
Proactively, consistently identify opportunities for us to increase our brand visibility and the volume, velocity, and value of our pipeline
Help optimize our revenue operations and keep our data super clean
By the end of your first year, who knows where we’ll be? TeachFX is growing fast.
Who you are and what you’ll bring to the team
Experience in a marketing or communications-related role
Experience in edtech or in education will be a major plus
You believe in our mission
You celebrate intellectual curiosity and diversity
You have a bias for action… you are collaborative, but you also won’t wait for someone to identify what needs to be done, you’re too full of ideas for that
You’re that rare mix of organized, creative, driven, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize
You communicate well. Even when something is hard to say. We’ve created a culture where people can celebrate each other, own their mistakes, say the hard things, and do hard things.
You’re passionate about the power of marketing to help move the world
You know that words matter. You’ve been known to agonize over a single tweet or subject line. And you don’t let the perfect be the enemy of the good.
You’re comfortable with change. In fact, you thrive on it. Startup life is about doing things we’ve never done before, inventing new ways of doing things other people already do, and constantly evolving as we grow.
If this sounds like the right role and the right mission for you, please submit your resume and a letter of interest via our online application.
