About Us

At Tydo, you’ll get the benefits of working directly in the consumer product world while also tackling challenging data problems at scale. Our engineering team is meeting-lite, lean, and hungry. That being said, we drop things as soon as we can to help each other out. We enjoy working with each other and are keen on solving grisly data problems.

We are a data first company; we load it, transform it, and tell stories with. We’re backed by Greylock Partners, Founders Fund, Y Combinator, Flexport, and top-tier eCommerce and fintech founders.

About the Role

You will work directly with executive and cross-functional leadership to plan and drive roadmap for all product engineering efforts. For any Tydo success, you will have a hand in launching it. The ideal candidate is comfortable managing front-end and back-end engineering teams, mentoring engineers through 1:1s, identifying and prioritizing key technical initiatives, and driving full-stack projects end-to-end. You should be ready to manage 20+ engineers and define technical strategy to execute on product roadmap. You will lead all things critical to product - from identifying technical systems we need to scale to ultimately launching platform-evolving features.

This requires a solid understanding of SaaS/multi-tenant system architecture, best-in-class operational excellence, and the ability to deliver key business outcomes. You will also be responsible for growing the core engineering team, creating processes that allow us to execute more efficiently, and helping us shape culture. You will report directly to the CTO and work alongside other functional leadership.

  • Empower your team to deploy large features confidently, develop a deep empathy for merchant pain points, and foster a shared appreciation for helping each other out

  • Manage and help grow engineers, from new grads to principals to managers, to support them in their own career journeys. Lead performance reviews, 1:1s, and support Tydo team members in realizing their professional aspirations

  • Collaborate on and drive technical roadmap, including prioritizing tech-driven initiatives that will make the development process easier and more enjoyable for the entire team

  • Setup new operational processes and structure that allow us to iterate on and build features faster and more confidently

  • Identify key product areas and technical solutions to support 10,000+ merchants
