 We are looking for a dynamic, ambitious, and hungry Account Executive to contribute to the growth of our Velocity segment. As a Velocity AE, you will balance your focus on a group of existing Customers as well as acquisition of new logos.  Your daily responsibilities include: creating, developing, managing and closing up-sells, cross-sells, and net-new business deals.

How You Impact Our Vision

  • Prospecting - calling and emailing executives at senior level across various lines of business using scaled techniques and tools.
  • Understanding your stakeholders need and effectively communicating how PagerDuty will meet them
  • Matching use cases to the right service offering
  • Documenting various qualification details including use case, purchase timeframes, and next steps
  • Closing and handling land-and-expand deals with an emphasis in acquiring new customers.
  • Rapidly learning the Enterprise sales model, and solution selling/customer-centric sales method
  • Prioritizing opportunities and applying appropriate resources
  • Ensuring 100% happiness with all customers

About You

  • A bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or related field
  • Strong background in lead generation and prospecting
  • At least 1 - 2 years of sales development and/or closing experience in software sales
  • Confirmed ability to quickly gain trust with internal & external senior leadership
  • Highly organized with exceptional follow up skills
  • Technically adept, understanding of software and how businesses use software
  • Passion for cloud technologies
