The Opportunity:
As an App Dev Associate, you will work within the Portfolio Management application development group to help build software solutions. You will report to your Team Leader and support one of our major architectural efforts to transform the way our portfolio management technology works at Fisher Investments. You will learn new technologies and help modernize existing tools and standards as we move to our new technology platforms. You will work with other members of your scrum team on a daily basis, with a team-first mentality to delivering software.
The Day-to-Day:
- Build back-end services and APIs to support internal applications and external system integrations
- Build front-end UI components to provide capabilities to internal operational users
- Write automated tests to safely integrate new features with a rapid CI/CD pipeline
- Help with application support throughout all environments including production
- Help improve development team processes including planning, estimating, and demos
- Work with partners to understand their technology needs and propose solutions to help our portfolio operations scale
Your Qualifications:
- Experience in C# (.NET Core) and SQL development experience
- Experience with git, JavaScript, Bootstrap, Angular (or similar frameworks)
- Knowledge of Agile, Scrum, Web APIs, SPAs, and Micro-services
